Lea & Kevin
Kevin is originally from Texas, and I [Lea] am from Connecticut. As fate would have it, we attended graduate school in the same small Pennsylvania town, which is where we met. We’ve moved a couple times in the past seven years but have created a beautiful life in North Carolina. We both envisioned a wedding day surrounded by family and friends. Because we come from two different parts of the country, we feared there was no perfect location to be married. We finally settled on planning a wedding close to home in Charlotte, NC. Our wedding guests traveled from eleven states and three countries to celebrate our love, and we couldn’t be more grateful.
The morning getting ready with my mother and best friends was calm and so relaxing. My brother officiated a light-hearted personalized wedding ceremony. Louie, our tri-pawed rescue dog, made a special walk down the aisle. It was a beautiful sunny March day with trees and flowers newly blooming. I cherish the first look moment with my husband and all the special moments we were able to create. We wrote our own vows and speaking those vows to one another with our friends and family in attendance made us feel deeply connected. It was truly a magical day of love, laughter, dancing, and happiness. When we reflect on our wedding day, we can’t keep from smiling.
